Japan's Takata Corporation, the third largest manufacturer of airbags in the world, has finally admitted that its airbags are defective. The latest Takata airbag recall on May 19th encompassed almost 34 million vehicles and over 10 automobile manufacturers. That means that 1 in every 7 vehicles on American roadways has been affected by this recall.
